Western Connecticut Youth Ballet Company

(WCYBC) a registered 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization

The concept behind WCYBC is to establish a pre-professional youth ballet company that teaches talented children sound technical and artistic skills, coaches them to use those skills in a professional-style performance enviornment, helps them develop strong personal character, and to cultivate young audiences who learn to appreciate and enjoy ballet.

WCYBC auditions and selects dancers, between the ages of 12 – 18, to represent the Company at rehearsals, performances, festivals, and competitions. The Artistic Director will provide the artistic inspiration and direction for the company and will conduct rehearsals on Saturday afternoons, with other rehearsals scheduled as necessary. Dancers must have completed a minimum of three years of ballet training and may come from any studio; dancers selected must maintain their class schedule at their current "home school".
